HAIR THINNING
WHAT CAUSES HAIR THINNING?
Maybe you were born with it, maybe its age. People who suffer from hair thinning and loss typically lose 100 hairs per day. Because new hair is growing in at the same time, it isn’t always noticeable. Hair loss occurs when hair follicles are destroyed and replaced with scar tissue, or when the cycle of hair growth and shedding is disrupted.
While hereditary factors and genetics play a huge role in both hair thinning and hair loss, hormonal shifts (from pregnancy, childbirth, thyroid problems and menopause), certain medications, and radiation therapy can all contribute as well.
